Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of mysite-name's professional vehicle service and repair services across England. Please read them carefully before booking any services to ensure a clear understanding of our workshop procedures, customer responsibilities, and service terms.
1. Service Agreement
By booking our vehicle services—whether for routine maintenance, MOT testing, or repairs—you agree to these terms. Our automotive services operate in compliance with relevant UK vehicle regulations, health and safety standards, and industry codes of practice.
We provide professional vehicle servicing and repairs through our qualified technicians across England.
2. Service Scope and Workshop Standards
Our services include vehicle servicing, MOT testing, mechanical repairs, and diagnostic work. We focus on providing quality automotive services using professional techniques and appropriate equipment for different vehicle types and requirements.
While we perform services to professional standards, repair outcomes can be influenced by vehicle age, previous repair history, and component availability. We provide consultations to ensure realistic expectations and satisfactory results.
3. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure successful service outcomes, customers agree to:
- Provide accurate vehicle information and service history
- Disclose any known vehicle issues or recent repairs
- Ensure vehicle is accessible at agreed service time
- Remove personal belongings before service
- Provide payment according to agreed estimates
- Collect vehicle promptly after service completion
Clear communication and proper vehicle preparation help us provide efficient and effective services.
4. Vehicle Condition and Access
Customers must inform us of any vehicle access issues, security systems, or special requirements before service. We conduct visual inspections but cannot guarantee repair timelines if unexpected issues are discovered during work.
We reserve the right to adjust service schedules or costs if vehicle condition differs significantly from initial information provided.
5. Quotation and Work Authorization
Services are confirmed upon acceptance of our detailed estimate and vehicle check-in. Estimates are valid for 30 days and assume standard workshop conditions. Additional work identified during service requires separate customer authorization.
Changes to service requirements after authorization may affect pricing and timelines, which will be communicated before proceeding.
6. Pricing and Payment Terms
Service fees are as quoted and payable upon vehicle collection. For repairs exceeding £250, we may require a deposit. Final payment is due when collecting your vehicle unless alternative credit arrangements are agreed in writing.
Late payments may affect vehicle release and future service availability. We reserve the right to retain vehicles until outstanding balances are settled.
7. Workshop Health and Safety
We maintain strict health and safety protocols including risk assessments, method statements, and appropriate insurance coverage. Customers must disclose any vehicle hazards or dangerous goods before work commences.
We maintain appropriate workshop insurance but cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing vehicle conditions or customer-provided information inaccuracies.
8. Service Timeline Management
We provide estimated service timelines based on current workload and job complexity. While we make every effort to adhere to schedules, some factors beyond our control may affect timing, including parts availability, unexpected repair complexities, and technician availability.
We communicate timeline changes promptly and work to minimise inconvenience to customers.
9. Diagnostic Work and Assessments
We recommend comprehensive diagnostic assessments for complex vehicle issues. The diagnostic phase allows for accurate problem identification and appropriate repair planning, ensuring the work addresses the root cause of issues.
Diagnostic fees are typically included in repair quotations for work we undertake, though standalone diagnostic services are available.
10. Parts and Warranty
We use quality parts from reputable suppliers and handle warranty registration where applicable. Parts warranties are provided directly by manufacturers, while our workmanship warranty covers installation quality for 12 months from service date.
Warranty claims require proper vehicle maintenance as per manufacturer recommendations, which we can provide through our service plans.
11. MOT Testing and Certification
We conduct MOT testing in accordance with DVSA standards and provide appropriate certification. As an authorised testing centre, we maintain impartiality during MOT inspections while providing guidance on necessary repairs.
Customers are responsible for ensuring vehicles meet basic requirements for MOT testing, including cleanliness and access to components.
12. Vehicle Storage and Collection
We provide secure storage for vehicles during service periods. Vehicles remaining uncollected for more than 14 days after service completion may incur storage charges. We make reasonable efforts to contact customers regarding vehicle collection.
Customers are responsible for ensuring timely collection of vehicles after service completion notifications.
13. Liability Limitations
Our liability for vehicle services is limited to the service fees paid. We cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing vehicle conditions, unrelated faults developing after service, or issues arising from normal wear and tear.
We maintain appropriate insurance and follow industry best practices in all our vehicle services.
14. Terms Modification
We reserve the right to update these terms periodically to reflect changes in our services, UK regulations, or industry practices. The current terms are always available on our website, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updates.
